Hello,
I had the same problem as many of you. You can play a while and then the computer restarts. Here is the solution that helped very good, for my ASUS 6800 GT.
Against all it was not the hardware, temperature are anything it was driver and windows xp and Asus problem:
1. First of all if there is a system error, windows xp reboots by standart, you have to remove this. You do this in workplace(Arbeitsplatz)/properties(Eigenschaften)/extented(erweitert). Ignore the warning message.
2. Play 2worlds and the game chrashes, but instead of rebooting you get a bluescreen with the error message. Search this error within the internet, or if you have an ASUS this is the solution:
3. There was an *.dll (cannot rember the name) which causes the problem, because its conflicts with the nvidia driver. This *.dll belongs to the ASUS enhached display driver.
4. Go the system/software and deinstall the ASUS enh. display driver, its not neccassary. After rebooting you get a warning that the ASUS smartdoctor won't run correct without it, but mine runs fine.
5. Play 2 worlds, my game didn't crash for hours now. It is a lot of fun anf the game looks even better.
I play wiht medium details and hight texture on an AMD Athlon 2000 Mhz, 1.5 Gz Ram and a ASUS 6800 GT. Works now really very good.
Hopes this helps someone.

Hello,
it is not the error reporting button. I try to descibe it, but my computer is german so.
Its on my computer/properties/ advanced and then its the properties button again from the field "start and recover" , hopes thats is what it is called in german its "Starten und wiederherstellen" and there you have to remove the hook in the field "automatic rebbot " in the system error tab.
Have you tried this.

Hello
o.k. Thats bad. So i found out the error on my computer. Its the:
atkdisp.dll wich causes the problem. This dll belongs
, as I know, to the 'asus enhanched display driver'. I also make these settings in the BIOS:
AGP Fast write support - disabled
System Bios Cacheable - disabled
Video Ram cacheable - disabled

lol,it`s not the game making your PC reboot,as most of the time driver problems or directx problem could force a pc to reboot or get the bsod when starting a 3D application.
just do a fresh install of your drivers and reinstall directx , you can downgrade directx to version 8.0,search on google for it after the downgrade upgrade the directx with the version provided within the game CD rom :),my cousin had the same problem with Oblivion ( he had a ati card) now everything works fine for hem.....
by the developers did not make windows or your PC.

I had the problem, that the game crashes every few minute and I had to restart my PC manually(no bluescreen or anything else). All drivers were up to date!
My PC:
AMD Athlon 64 3500+
ASUS A8N SLI
2x GeForce 6600GT
2GB DDR RAM
Win XP
After a lot testing,I finally solved the problem by:
1. uninstall the display driver
2. uninstall nhancer (tweaking tool)
3. check harddrive for old driver files and erase them i.e.: c:\NVIDIA\
3. reboot
4. reinstall display driver
5. !! reinstall directX !! (just perform the directX install option in the autostart menu of the two-worlds DVD)
Now game works fine. No crashes anymore (I played several hours without a crash)
MfG (yes german too ;) )

lol :), believe me, all my config and software and bioses are up to date! :) including direct X, c++, audio codecs, any drivers for chipset and other. i'm not a lamer :). and you can read forums worldwide - more than 500 topics describes same problem about crashing game.
Nerestro
thx, will try. what version of nVidia drivers you used?

yes and the world is a huge place,500 topics does not mean this has to do with the game :).
by the way 500 topics and every single user has the same specs as you do?
and all the users posting in those topics have there pc up to date?a little naief to think that people always tell the truth, some people make things up just because the game is not what they have expected
Isatanica
pal, when i reading your posts i going to think that you trying to defend developers ;). but i'm sure - this is bugs of game and developers still blind and silent. despite a lot of posts about crashes.

Ra7 mate,I`m trying to help other users but there are users who would actually give the Devs fault of there problem which they have with their pc.
I in other hand have no such problem with the game itself ( no crasing,no bsod,no rebootings etc etc) I have kept my PC up to date.
most of the users having problems because there PC has some problems and saying that this the fault of the devs is unfair!
if a PC reboots after trying to play a game has nothing to do with the game,if a PC gets the bsod has nothing to do with the game and I`m not only talking about Two worlds there are enough users who are getting the same problems with other games....
and no I`m not a fanboy because there are enough things in two wolrds which I hate alot and which are really buggy, but hey I have patience and there are things like patches ;).

I know what you mean. I keep my system up to date too. But I never erase an old display driver befor updating to a new one. My guess is that there is a conflict with old driver components remaining on the harddrive after updating.
I had installed the forceware driver 93.71 over an old one. That worked fine until I bought two-worlds.
For me it sounds lame that you have to unistall old drivers befor updating to a new one (too much work in my opinion) and it really was my last choice to uninstall the driver, erase old files an install the same driver again, but hey it worked ...

yes it is lame to first delete the drivers and then install the new ones but you could do the following,it`s less work.
open Task manager and End every task which has to do with your graphic card ( for Ati cards it starts as Ati ) now end these tasks and start updating, why do it this way?because now it`s not running anymore in background and you can overwrite things without any problems :).
P.S I hope it`s a little bit understandable english, english is not my native language
well... as i expected, my problem still not solved. erasing old drivers and re-install drivers 93.71 didn't help me. i knew it... sheet... :( :( :(

have you try the way I explained?by ending everything in task manager which has to do with your gpu then install drivers?
Bah, same problem. My pc reboots every 10 minutes, although I ordered him not to do that( just as indicated in the first post).
Isatanica
yes, of course. i tried that in many ways. everything is useless. seems i have to make upgrade my pc. will change my amd x2 4200 to core2duo 2,66. and motherboard, ddr, video... will change everything.
